SnakeGrid Transformer Multiple Image Files
Question: "Why are extra image files created for a previously attached image file ?"
When an image is transformed using the SnakeGrid Transformer, only the bounding rectangle of the image (i.e. the four corners: bottom left, top left, top right, bottom right) is used to transform the image file. The image it fitted (re-attached) to the transformed coordinates of the bounding rectangle - which means that 'gaps' that exist around the edge of the image are made transparent.
As a result of the transformation, the quality of the image will change for each transformation, which also results in the transparent border growing slightly for each transformation. The new image is re-attached and the original image is detached (but not deleted).
We never delete a previously attached image just in case (at some time in the future) the original image may be required.
NOTE: The transformation of an attached image files should only be used as a one-way process only because of the change of quality.
Because an image file is recreated for each transformation, we leave it to the user to manage (i.e. delete) the image files no longer required.
