A foreign company was interested in converting MicroStation design files to Geographic Markup Language (GML). We've worked in that country before and they seem a decent bunch so we put some information together and sent it off. We sent a few supplementary emails to make sure they got our stuff but we never heard from them again. If we had a marketing or sales department it would be their job to follow this up but we're too small to chase this kind of thing so we just let them go.

Shame, because we do have a pretty neat DGN to GML system.
